Internet Safety:
Patti Agatston will be here again to share information on cyber bullying, phone and internet safety and tips for parents when it comes to staying vigilant with your kids and phones and the internet. She will be at Addison on two different dates and times so that more of our parents and staff can come. First, she will be here on Monday, November 12th at 8:15 AM, and then again on November 27th at 6:00 PM. These informational meetings are meant for adults only. She was here last year and our parents raved about it and the information they received was invaluable.

 Thanksgiving lunches:

 Tuesday Nov. 13th- Kindergarten and 5th grades --
Special lunch time to be announced soon!

 Wednesday, Nov. 14th -3rd and 4th grades

 Thursday, Nov. 15th- 1st and 2nd grades

 5th grade Rock Eagle Trip- November 14th- 16th

 Thanksgiving Break- Nov. 19th-23rd.

Welcome to Addison Kindergarten!  We are looking forward to working with your children this year.  To assist us in making this a successful school year, it would be helpful if you would: 1.       Please send in a NUTRITIOUS snack to school each day with your child.  We encourage fruit, yogurt, cheese and crackers, etc.  (Please no candy, cookies or sweets or juice.) They may bring a water bottle to class each day if they choose to. 2.       Let your child know what their snack is each day and where it can be found in their backpack. (Sometimes kindergarteners get confused about what is their lunch versus snack or forget they have one.) Also, please do not send snack in a lunch box. It is confusing for everyone! 3.       Put your child’s first and last names in all articles of clothing and other items that might be left at school:  Sweaters, jackets, hats, lunch boxes and back packs. 4.       Emphasize that toys must stay at home! 5.       Quiet Time - please send in a r

Science Lab Volunteer Letters

Hi Kindergarten, I have been trying to think of a way to get thank yous from kids to our wonderful science lab volunteers.  Would you be able to post a message to your students to write cards/letters to the volunteers and bring them when they pick up their belongings at Addison?  They are welcome to thank more than one volunteer because there are so many for kindergarten.  I will have a labeled basket on each homeroom table for them to drop them in and I will pick them up and mail them to our volunteers.
