We read the book "Five Little Pumpkins" and the students had to build a structure that held 5 little pumpkins! Each group got to design 3 different structures to explore different building materials.

Just a few reminders and updates

Tomorrow is an early release day. The students will be dismissed at 12:15. There is still lunch, specials and ASP as usual just all our times change. Our early release lunch is 10:12-10:42 and our specials is 11:40-12:10.  Since tomorrow is an early release day it is also our second STEM day! We'll be doing an activity based on the book "5 Little Pumpkins" where the students will be making a structure as 4 small groups that will hold 5 little pumpkins! I've gotten a few pumpkins and materials donations so thank you to those families! Next week is conference week and all next week is early release so the above times apply to next week as well. If  something comes up and you have to cancel your scheduled conference please just let me know.  Square 1 Art catalogs: If you have any questions regarding this, simply forward them to: carolynn.stoddard@cobbk12.org The deadline is Oct. 31st, Halloween…and a couple of weeks afterwards I’ll deliver the products t...

Conference week forms, STEM day donations needed and Important Dates

Conference scheduling forms were sent home with your child today. Please look for the salmon colored form in your child's folder, complete the bottom portion of the form and return it as soon as possible so we may plan for your child's upcoming conference. There is very little wiggle room for scheduling changes and we planned with other teachers to schedule siblings in the building back to back for your  convenience .   Monday Oct 15th - Friday Oct 19th, 12:15 Early Release for Conference Week October 11th  is an early release  and we will be doing our second STEM activity.  If we could get pumpkins and simple building materials donated for the class STEM challenge that would be amazing. The students will be working in 4 groups so I will need 20 small pumpkins for the activity. If every child could bring in at least 1 pumpkin that would be helpful. Wednesday October 3rd If you are able to please have your child wear their Addison Shirt with the ...
