Conference week forms, STEM day donations needed and Important Dates

Conference scheduling forms were sent home with your child today. Please look for the salmon colored form in your child's folder, complete the bottom portion of the form and return it as soon as possible so we may plan for your child's upcoming conference. There is very little wiggle room for scheduling changes and we planned with other teachers to schedule siblings in the building back to back for your convenience.  
Monday Oct 15th - Friday Oct 19th, 12:15 Early Release for Conference Week



October 11th is an early release and we will be doing our second STEM activity. 

If we could get pumpkins and simple building materials donated for the class STEM challenge that would be amazing. The students will be working in 4 groups so I will need 20 small pumpkins for the activity. If every child could bring in at least 1 pumpkin that would be helpful.

 Wednesday October 3rd
If you are able to please have your child wear their Addison Shirt with the purple sleeves tomorrow. We're having the SLT inauguration for 2nd - 5th grade and they would like for all the grades to wear their grade level shirts tomorrow. We just got this as a last minute request so if you are unable to have your child wear this tomorrow then no worries! 

Thursday October 4th
Addison's picture day will take place this Thursday October 4th. Picture package forms were sent home before break for you to consider. Please place completed forms in the front pouch of their folder if you are seeking to order pictures that day.

Red Ribbon Week Theme: Leaders make healthy choices!
October 22-26, 2018
Red Ribbon Week is a national event that promotes drug awareness and prevention each year. At Addison, we use this week to encourage our students to make good choices. We hope you will support us in celebrating happy, healthy choices at home! 

  Monday – “Make a pledge Monday!”  –   At the start of this nationally recognized Red Ribbon Week – Students will sign class pledge to show that they pledge to live a healthy life! Students will receive red ribbon stickers and pencils.
Tuesday – “Color my life drug free” – Students will receive a Red Ribbon Week coloring sheet.
Wednesday – “Wear Red Wednesday!”  Wear red to support a healthy life!
Thursday – “Healthy Snack Day” –  Students will bring a healthy item to eat during snack.
Friday – “Team up against drugs!”- Wear your favorite team gear or Addison spirit wear.
